JEB BROWN

BIO
Jeb Brown maintains a Houston-based law practice specializing in the acquisitions, sales, financing, leases, joint ventures, and restructuring of real estate. He represents sellers, purchasers and developers across the real estate spectrum, including office buildings, golf courses and country clubs, master-planned residential projects, industrial, retail and restaurant projects, and multifamily projects.
Mr. Brown advises businesses through the process of raising equity funds from private and institutional investors, and negotiating debt transactions with lending institutions. Mr. Brown also advises real estate equity fund managers in connection with the creation, negotiation, and operation of these investment vehicles.

Mr. Brown began his career as an attorney in Austin, practicing land use, real estate development law, legislative affairs, and real estate litigation. Formerly with the firm of Winstead, Sechrest & Minick, P.C., Jeb moved to Houston in 2000 to become general counsel of what is now Americus Real Estate Investments, Inc., a real estate development, finance and fund management firm. While maintaining his relationship with Americus, Jeb started his own practice in April of 2005 .

MONICA CORONADO
LEGAL ASSISTANT
BIO
Monica Coronado joined the firm in March 2021 as a legal assistant supporting the attorneys in
the accounting and finance department.
Before joining J. Brown, Monica was a Resource Manager for an Engineering Center in
Monterrey, Mexico. She has extensive experience working as an Executive Assistant for large oil
& gas corporations in Houston, Texas. In 2016 Monica moved to Mexico City to work for one of
the largest, leading corporate firms in the country, providing support to the Aviation, Banking
and Finance, Competition and Antitrust and Environmental and Social Impact departments.
For the last 10 years she manages a charity program that provides support to kids in rural areas in her country.

CARLIE CAMERON
OPERATIONS
BIO
Carlie Cameron joined the firm in 2014 and manages the general daily operations, such as accounting, information technology, client relations, inventory control, and financial and facilities management. She works closely with the firm’s attorneys, performing due diligence, drafting and reviewing transactional documents, and coordinating closing components for complex real estate transactions.
Carlie’s experience includes interactions with all levels of state and local government, special departments and agencies, and interfacing between clients, title companies, surveyors, lenders, and adverse party attorneys.
The firm’s attorneys also rely on Carlie for support in corporate matters, including business entity formations and terminations, filings with the IRS and Secretary of State, and assistance with the preparation of legal documents in connection with portfolio sales, acquisitions, corporate restructuring and financing deals.
She moved to Houston with her husband in 2010 and worked as an eCommerce Retail Buyer before transitioning into the legal industry. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and her three rescue dogs.
